The WWII German MGZ34 optical sight was intended for use with the MG34 machine gun and, later, with the MG42, when mounted on a Lafette tripod in heavy machine gun mode.
The optical sight is mounted on the tripod for use with the MG34 or MG42 (different tripods).
The name of the manufacturer, Voigtländer & Sohn A.-G., Braunschweig, is clearly indicated and the serial number is 10811. Marked WaA ddx.
Painted in its original green finish, the optics are very clear and all adjustment knobs work freely.
It comes with its original carrying case, with its original green painted finish and in good condition.
