History :
This GP35 / Pistole 640(b) was produced approximately between May and July 1944.
Production stopped in September 1944, when Allied forces liberated the FN factory in Herstal.
During the German occupation of Belgium (1940–1944), approximately 319,000 to 325,000 Browning GP35 (Hi-Power) pistols were produced by FN Herstal for the Wehrmacht.
