This Smith & Wesson .38 Chief's Special CTG (or S&W Mod. 36) is a 5-shot revolver in .38 Special caliber with a J-frame.
- It is famous for being the first J-frame revolver in the S&W series (early models were called "I-frames").
- First model with flat latch cylinder release and pinned barrel.
- The factory bright blue finish is 100% original.
- The original diamond-pattern stock grips are present, and the right grip is numbered on the inside.
- In very fine to mint condition, all original, this is a 1956 Relic.
