Suomi Tikkakoski MP 43 machine pistol:
This model corresponds to the Finnish Suomi MP M-31.
For Switzerland, the stock is already reinforced with two crosswise reinforcing mandrels.
At the end of 1942, Switzerland decided to buy 5,000 Suomi machine guns from Finland.
As early as December 1942, the first 100 pieces of this tried and tested weapon were delivered to Switzerland.
The weapons delivered corresponded to the Finnish Suomi MP M-31 model.
The original model produced in Finland (Armurerie Tikkakoski) was presented as the MP 43 and had a curved visor with a scale of 100 to 500 meters.
Subsequently, the MP was produced under license by Hispano-Suiza in Geneva under the name MP 43/44. In all, numbers 100'001 to 124'470 were produced, with production ending in 1951.
It is estimated that a total of 5,200 MP 43s were imported from Finland up to 1945, and 22,468 MP 43/44s were produced under license in Geneva.
