Very nice piece.
The MP41 is a hybrid between the lower part of the MP28 and the upper part of the MP40.
Although the weapon bears the hallmarks of the Waffenamt, the MP41 was never issued in the Wehrmacht.
A small number were distributed to Reich police forces, and to certain units such as the SD (Sicherheitsdienst, in French: "le service de la sécurité du Reichsführer-SS"),
and Waffen SS units (mainly on the Eastern Front).
But most of the 25,000 or so Haenel produced between 1941 and 1944 were sold for export to the Royal Romanian Army, which employed him on the Eastern Front.
In 1944, after the armistice signed between Romania and the USSR, where the weapon had given full satisfaction, it was used against the Germans.
