A total of 23,039 Model 1882 revolvers bearing the numbers P1 to P23,039 were produced for other authorities, such as the Customs Department, police forces and judicial officers, or even for private individuals.

These private revolvers were manufactured by W+F and S.I.G. Neuhausen (sometimes also called "Waffenfabrik Neuhausen" or "Fabrique d'armes Neuhausen").

W+F Model 1882 Revolvers have a P in front of the gun number, but S.I.G. Revolvers do not.
