Stamped with the 5-pointed Star on the breech, French production during the occupation of the Mauser factory in Oberndorf in 1945.
s/n 26## g (All numbers equal)

P.38 in this “g” series, which the French launched after a short interruption in production due to the establishment of their control over the Oberndorf factory in April 45.
The entire gun has the original German finish, with Oberndorf-made sheet-metal inserts.
It should be noted that only a very small number of the French production received the original Obendorf finish.
