Australian Boys Mk I anti-tank rifle

British manufacture dated 1939 by Birmingham Small Arms (BSA).

Serial number A 89## present on the receiver, barrel and bolt (fully matching).

Calibre .55 Boys (13.9×99B), nicknamed “Charlie the Bastard” by Australian soldiers due to its extremely violent recoil.

100% original 1939 configuration, retaining its original Commonwealth olive-green service paint.

Barrel with perfect rifling.

Fitted with its early Mk I muzzle brake and original Mk I bipod.

Rifle originating from Australia, in very good state of preservation, showing even and consistent wear in keeping with a surplus military service weapon officially taken out of service.

Supplied with one original British clip dated 1943 (CHP – Chilwell), loaded with five .55 Boys Mk I AP cartridges (RG – Radway Green, 1943).

Ammunition offered strictly as a collector’s item.
