AMSD OM 50 Nemesis MKIII
The last NEMESIS BY AMSD to be manufactured.
This is a derivative of the French Hecate II sniper rifle made by PGM.
At and by Swiss Arms it will become SAN 511, formerly OM 50 Nemesis
Operation: bolt action, magazine-fed repeating action
Overall length: stock fully extended: from 1029 mm (with 381 mm barrel) to 1600 mm (with 900 mm barrel)
stock folded: from 774 mm (with 381 mm barrel) to 1300 mm (with 900 mm barrel)
Barrel length: 381 to 838 mm(15″ to 33″), modifiable
Weight, empty: 10 to 15 kg, depending on barrel installed
Feeding system: detachable 5-round magazine
The OM 50 rifle's accuracy in real-world field conditions, used by an experienced USMC sniper, is described as fearsome. The weapon has already been put into service with various police and army special operations forces.
The OM 50 Nemesis Mk I features a manual feed trough and adjustable fixed stock.
It can be upgraded to the OM 50 Mk II configuration
(1) by removing the feed trough and replacing it with a removable 5-shot magazine,
(2) the adjustable side-folding stock,
(3) the folding bipod and (4) the folding rear monopod (attached to the stock).
A further upgrade, including an extension of the upper Picatinny rail with additional Picatinny rails, makes up the OM 50 Mk III configuration.
