.The so-called “1892 Spanish Revolvers” were actually ordered from Spain by France in 1917 during the Great War.
It is a copy of the S&W Military & Police (S&W .38 Hand Ejector Model of 1905).
By Hermanos Orbea (also known as Orbea y Cia or La Industria Orbea) Spanish Basque Country.
We'll see them again in the Spanish Civil War, and again in WW2 with the FFI and the French Militia.
