Updated and reconditioned to new in April 1945 by Colt, see marking 4 45 (numbers struck for April 1945) on inside of breech housing cover ''Groupe Carcasse''.

In other contracts signed with Colt on V-J Day, August 15, 1945, the US government accepted reconditioned .50-calibre water-cooled and .50-calibre weapons that had already been assembled under earlier contracts.
